6 month contract to hire.

Lexington, KY (on site role).
Compensation:
$29.00/hr base pay. Any overtime worked will be paid at 1.5x. There will be a shift premium as follows:
- Weekday (Monday to Thursday) – 2nd shift - $0.50/hr
- Weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) – 1st shift – $2.00/hr
- Weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) – 2nd shift – $3.00/hr

- Available (health insurance, dental, vision, 401k, etc) – benefits will begin the 1st of the month after 30 days of employment.
- This role will not have any PTO (but unpaid time off is permitted with manager approval). Extensive PTO will be available when converting to direct hire.
Job Description:
HRU Technical Resources has partnered with an international food safety company that provides test kits and relevant products to detect dangerous substances in food (both for people and animals). We are seeking Industrial Maintenance Technicians to work at our production facility in Lexington, KY. In this role you will be responsible for performing and managing installations, repairs, and maintenance connected to production.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots, repairs, renovates, installs, operates, and maintains facility, fixtures, and equipment within the operation.
- Scope of work to include basic wiring/cabling, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, painting, assembly, and general repairs.
- Schedules and coordinates activities of outside contractors as needed.
- Obtains quotations and procures necessary materials to perform work.
- Manages preventive maintenance program and performs scheduled preventive maintenance of operational equipment.
- Operates tools and equipment required to perform work assignments.
- Performs all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with company policies and local laws.
- Participates on the divisional safety committee.
- Trained to operate fork truck.
- Works cooperatively with department managers and accepts direction from Maintenance Manager.
- Administrative duties will include following preventive maintenance schedule for compliance to weekly, monthly annual and semiannually requirements. Complete forms and create records for maintenance and repair needs. Complete Facilities Repair Forms that are submitted for needed repairs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required (this will be verified).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a maintenance trade, vocational schooling, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- PLC Skills: Basic to intermediate PLC experience required, particularly in troubleshooting and making ladder logic changes. Experience with Allen Bradley (RSLogix 5000) is strongly preferred.
- Electrical & Troubleshooting: Strong electrical troubleshooting skills required. Must be comfortable diagnosing issues without detailed machine manuals.
- Pneumatics & Servo Drives: Experience working with pneumatic systems and servo drives is important.
- Reading & Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret machinery manuals, technical documents, and basic written procedures in English.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and averaging.
- Robotics: Exposure to Fanuc or Denso robots is a plus, but this isn’t required.
- Preventative Maintenance & Installations: Experience with preventative maintenance and installations is beneficial but not the primary focus.
- HVAC: HVAC experience is a plus but isn’t required.
Work Environment / Other Info:
- We have multiple shifts / openings available:
o Weekday 2nd shift schedule; Monday to Thursday: 5:00pm to 3:30am
o Weekend 1st shift schedule; Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 6:00am to 6:30pm
o Weekend 2nd shift schedule; Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 6:00pm to 6:30am
