Position Overview

The Microsoft 365 Specialist supports the Collaboration Systems team by designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions within the Microsoft 365 environment. This role partners with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions while supporting day-to-day operations, migrations, and user enablement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal teams and customers to gather and translate requirements into Microsoft 365 solutions
  • Design and implement out-of-the-box (OOTB) and custom solutions within M365
  • Provide day-to-day support, troubleshooting, and user training for Microsoft 365 tools
  • Support migration efforts from on-premises SharePoint to Microsoft 365
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive business value through technology solutions
  • Maintain current knowledge of Microsoft 365 development best practices and emerging trends
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across departments
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with business process mapping
  • Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with SharePoint Designer and InfoPath
  • Experience with Nintex Workflow or similar tools
  • SharePoint application development certifications
  • Familiarity with third-party SharePoint tools (e.g., HarePoint, Bamboo Solutions, ShareGate)

Required Experience

  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 (e.g., Teams, Exchange, SharePoint)
  • Experience with web technologies (JavaScript, JSON, CSS, HTML)
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR high school diploma with 4+ years of related experience
  • Higher-level degrees may substitute for years of experience
  • Relevant certifications may be considered in lieu of experience
  • Equivalent technical experience may substitute for formal education
  • Degree must be from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
