Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist
Position Overview
The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is a proactive and results-oriented recruiting professional experienced in supporting Engineering functions. This role collaborates directly with business decision-makers, as well as a team of knowledgeable recruiting and sourcing professionals, to identify candidates for critical programs and roles. Sourcing and recruiting here means more than just filling requisitions—it's about partnering with hiring teams to find the right talent at the right time.
In this fast-paced position, you’ll be part of an effective recruiting team, tasked with deploying innovative recruiting techniques to support overall business success. The role may be performed onsite in Jacksonville, FL or Norfolk, VA; remote work on the East Coast is also considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with recruiters, hiring teams, and business leaders to design and implement recruiting strategies.
- Identify and engage passive candidates.
- Utilize industry job boards, social media platforms, ATS, CRM systems, and external databases to source candidates.
- Create and send compelling recruiting communications to prospective candidates.
- Develop talent pipelines to support future hiring needs.
- Promote the organization’s employer brand through all candidate interactions.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues on compensation, compliance, onboarding, and other HR processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency with industry job boards, social media platforms, and candidate tracking systems (e.g., Kenexa/Brass Ring or comparable ATS).
- Experience working in an OFCCP-compliant environment.
- Background in building and executing recruiting plans.
- Experience supporting an end-to-end recruiting process.
- Adaptable communication style suitable for various client and stakeholder levels.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives.
- Recruiting experience in ship repair, shipbuilding, or skilled trades environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members to develop effective recruiting, sourcing, assessment, and candidate closing approaches.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of six (6) years of recruiting experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- This position is located in Jacksonville, FL or Norfolk, VA; remote options on the East Coast are considered.
