Materials Coordinator


Candidate will work from Amarillo office at least three days/week.

Materials Coordinator to join the PowerDelivery department in our client office in Amarillo, Texas. The Materials Coordinator will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and work coordination for all construction activities and personnel to achieve construction performance objectives.

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to

Ability to read and review engineering drawings and identify required bills of materials 

Implement the construction process for planning, execution, and the post-construction continuous learning cycle process for construction projects

Create, maintain, and communicate the construction critical path schedule

Create construction material work packages and identify, obtain, and allocate labor, material, and equipment

Review construction project critical issues and escalate as necessary

Provide input and support to ensure the continuous improvement of construction management processes and supporting systems

Provide support for effective material management, forecasting, and budget management

Responsible for work order data governance, appropriate utilization and ownership relative to the creation of master data, and work execution

Implement construction planning, execution, and the post-construction continuous learning cycle process for the region

Provide planning, scheduling, and work coordination for all construction labor resources to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of the construction portfolio

Responsible for compliance with critical path schedules, work scope specifications, and construction O&M and capital project performance objectives

  

Meet or exceed construction performance objectives with project management

Identify, obtain, and allocate labor, materials, and equipment to support construction projects

 

Required Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, preferred and/or four (4) years of related work experience

Comprehensive knowledge of construction techniques and field material requirements in the power utility industry

Strong understanding of concepts of lead time, manufacturing processes for commodities, and highly engineered equipment and fulfillment channels

Demonstrated ability to effectively use critical path scheduling software

Some travel to job sites to perform material coordination

 

Desired Education/Experience

Experience related to operations/maintenance, planning, budgeting, or similar experience

Proven project management capabilities with a track record of demonstrated results
