Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Coordinator (Student Intern) to support our engineering and operations teams with process improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a student currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field who is eager to gain real-world experience in workflow analysis, layout optimization, and data-driven problem-solving within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain systems for managing office routines and workflows.
  • Assist in planning, conducting, and evaluating engineering and operations projects.
  • Monitor ongoing programs and projects, providing timely updates to supervisors.
  • Support engineering initiatives, including time studies, workflow analysis, and layout optimization.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to drive process improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and other continuous improvement projects.
  • Create and update standard operating sheets and documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Document findings and present recommendations to leadership.
  • Provide coordination support for special or high-priority projects.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field (sophomore level or higher preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments (production, materials, quality, etc.).
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn, contribute, and take initiative.
