Job Title: Distribution Team Leader
Role Overview:
In this role, you will provide leadership to the team and facilitate the distribution process to ensure the achievement of quality, housekeeping, and safety objectives. Your role is crucial in developing a high-performance work team through ongoing coaching and direction, both formal and informal.
Your Impact:
- Lead team members in the performance of distribution processes.
- Ensure team members understand and comply with distribution process instructions, ISO Standards, Quality System Procedures, and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements.
- Assign specific tasks to ensure the most cost-effective and productive use of team members' time.
- Ensure the availability of tools and materials essential for work performance.
- Oversee team member performance by providing training, guidance, and timely feedback through everyday interactions and periodic performance appraisals.
- Establish and lead small group team initiatives for continuous improvement.
- Maintain comprehensive records to document performance in your area of responsibility.
- Evaluate the optimal processes, standards, equipment, tools, flow, and facilities required for product distribution.
- Conduct root-cause analyses of the distribution process to identify, define, and resolve distribution problems and opportunities.
- Enlist necessary support to ensure the timely resolution of problems and prompt implementation of improvements.
- Audit standards and identify opportunities for improvements in all aspects of distribution.
- Provide input for strategic planning regarding distribution initiatives.
- Undertake other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Over one year of practical experience working in a distribution/warehouse setting.
Standout Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a related field.
- Previous supervisory/lead experience in a distribution setting or equivalent.
