Engineering Production Support - Entry Level Positions

Location: Anniston, AL

Contract: 12 months (Temp to Hire)

Schedule: Mon – Thu | 1st shift | 10 hour shifts (expect 5 hours of OT a week)

Compensation: $39.87/hour with optional benefits


Position Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret design specifications, technical drawings, documentation, models, and test results to ensure compliance with engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements.
  • Serve as the primary Engineering Point of Contact for the Paladin Artillery Vehicle Program on 1st Shift, providing direct support to vehicle production operations.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and document engineering-related issues through Problem Reports, and work closely with the Integrated Program Team (IPT) to develop and implement effective resolutions.
  • Manage the variance control process for production deviations from the Technical Data Package (TDP), including coordination of internal and customer approvals.
  • Develop timely solutions to both complex and routine production issues, coordinating implementation through approved variances and repairs.
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and collaboration between Design and Production departments.
  • Recommend design improvements to address recurring issues or enhance manufacturability.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with all applicable safety regulations and standards.




Skills Required:

  • Entry-level knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in relevant technical fields
  • Experience with 3D CAD software such as PTC Creo (Pro/Engineer, ProductView)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with current computer applications and technologies in applicable engineering disciplines
  • Ability to create and maintain large Excel spreadsheets
  • Ability to resolve basic technical design and development issues
  • Strong relationship-building skills with customers to solve technical problems
  • Demonstrated self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills



Skills Preferred:

  • Experience with electrical components, wiring, and integrated systems is a plus



Experience Required:

  • Proficient in using 3D CAD software such as PTC Creo
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with current computer applications and engineering technologies
  • Ability to create and manage large Excel spreadsheets
  • Ability to resolve basic technical problems and maintain customer relations
  • Demonstrated initiative and minimal requirement for supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal



Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
