Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations in the Defense and Aerospace sector. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Working closely with design, production, quality, and supply chain teams, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhance production capabilities, and support the delivery of mission-critical products.
Key Responsibilities

Process Development: Develop manufacturing processes, work instructions, and procedures to meet technical requirements and quality standards.

Production Optimization: Partner with design engineers to improve manufacturability, analyze production data, and implement improvements to reduce cycle times.

Equipment & Technology: Evaluate, recommend, and integrate advanced manufacturing equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.

Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other initiatives to drive cost reduction, waste elimination, and efficiency gains.

Quality Support: Collaborate with quality teams to establish inspection methods, resolve production issues, and implement preventive measures.

Supply Chain Coordination: Work with suppliers to ensure material availability and evaluate vendor performance to meet schedule and quality requirements.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation including process specifications, SOPs, and engineering change orders.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (AS9100, ITAR, NADCAP).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in defense or aerospace.
- Strong background in CNC machining, additive manufacturing, assembly, and testing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
