Global Supply Chain Group Leader
Position Summary
The Global Supply Chain Group Leader is responsible for leading daily operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role oversees personnel, materials, and workflow to ensure production goals are met while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
This position is primarily focused on leadership, coordination, and continuous improvement rather than hands-on production work. The Group Leader drives team performance, supports cross-functional collaboration, and ensures the effective flow of materials from inbound logistics through final assembly.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 30+ hourly employees
- Provide performance management, timekeeping oversight, and daily direction
- Support training and development using standardized work and job instruction methods
- Foster a high-performing, engaged, and accountable team environment
Operations & Production Management
- Coordinate material flow from receiving through assembly operations
- Ensure production schedules and quality targets are met or exceeded
- Delegate tasks through team leaders to optimize efficiency and workflow
- Monitor operations and adjust resources to meet changing production demands
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain awareness of quality standards and communicate expectations to the team
- Identify and resolve production and quality issues using root cause problem-solving
- Implement processes to prevent recurrence of known issues
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles
Safety & Compliance
- Promote and enforce safe work practices and adherence to safety policies
- Support ergonomic, housekeeping, and environmental objectives
- Maintain compliance with organizational standards and procedures
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with assembly, quality, and other internal teams to ensure smooth operations
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders via meetings, radio, and digital communication
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across all levels of the organization
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including first and second shift schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Experience in high-volume or automotive manufacturing environments

Additional Details
- Rotating shift schedule between first and second shift (advance notice provided)
