Digital Design & Visualization Lead
Overview
We are seeking a highly consultative Digital Design & Visualization Lead with strong business intelligence expertise, particularly in Power BI and Power Query. This role is embedded at a client site and will work cross-functionally to support reporting initiatives, project delivery, and data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and proactive—someone who can translate business needs into scalable, high-performing reporting solutions while operating effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather and define reporting requirements
- Collaborate with data integration teams to source and structure data from multiple warehouse systems
- Serve as a liaison between business teams and IT to support project execution
- Develop, optimize, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Utilize Power Query to transform and manage metadata for improved report performance
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and reporting using Power BI and other tools
- Build and execute UAT scripts; facilitate testing sessions to ensure production readiness
- Document processes, solutions, and key learnings to support team knowledge sharing
- Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting tools and data processes
Qualifications
Required
- Demonstrated experience in business intelligence development
- Strong proficiency in:
- Power BI (1+ year)
- Power Query (1+ year)
- SQL querying (SQL Server, Teradata, Hadoop) (1+ year)
- Experience working within software development life cycles (Agile and/or Waterfall)
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (3+ years)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and independently
Preferred
- Experience in automotive or similar industries
- Familiarity with digital marketing and web analytics concepts, including:
- Cookies (1st & 3rd party)
- Pixel tracking
- SEO and social media analytics
- Advertising attribution models
- Experience supporting performance-driven marketing initiatives
