Digital Product Owner
Location: Columbus, IN
Contract: 6 months (possible extension or direct hire)
Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST)
Compensation: $62–$66/hour + optional benefits during contract phase
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Digital Product Owner to support the delivery and optimization of diagnostic system solutions within our digital product management team. This role blends technical, business, and product expertise to guide Agile teams in building platform service capabilities that reduce customer downtime and improve equipment performance. You will own the product vision, maintain prioritized backlogs, and collaborate daily with global stakeholders across engineering, business, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the voice of customers and business stakeholders in Agile teams, driving the platform services vision and roadmap.
- Manage the lifecycle of platform service capabilities, ensuring improvements that support uptime and equipment performance.
- Own and prioritize the team backlog, refining items with clear business value and aligning expectations across global stakeholders.
- Lead participation in Agile ceremonies including PI planning, iteration planning, system demos, and continuous improvement sessions.
- Gather and clarify business requirements, technical considerations, and strategic objectives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner closely with product management, engineering, and operations teams to execute strategic and tactical plans.
- Define and communicate iteration goals while maintaining user stories, defects, and enablers in the backlog.
- Apply Lean/Agile principles to support team performance and contribute to program-level vision and priority setting.
- Review and approve completed user stories, ensuring acceptance criteria and Definition of Done (DoD) are met.
- Coordinate with architects and engineers to manage enabler work and balance technical needs.
- Utilize Behavior Driven Development (BDD) to improve product quality and development flow.
- Facilitate team ceremonies that promote planning, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Influence cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment without direct authority.

Education, Certifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- SAFe® POPM certification strongly preferred.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a SAFe environment supporting digital customer or partner solutions.

Hands-on experience with cloud-based products; telematics or IoT experience strongly preferred.
- Background in Lean methodology, Agile development practices, and cross-functional teamwork.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to customers and stakeholders.
- Experience supporting sales cycles and handling customer escalations is a plus.
