Industrial Engineer 3A

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to support EV assembly operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role focuses on optimizing production processes, establishing work standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost (SPQRC) objectives.

This position offers strong cross-functional exposure across Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams, with high daily interaction and visibility.


Key Responsibilities

Process Optimization & Work Standards

  • Establish and maintain standardized work and operational methods using time studies and work measurement techniques
  • Analyze and improve line balance, cycle times, and production efficiency
  • Develop and implement process improvements to optimize labor, material, and equipment utilization

Manufacturing Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Support EV assembly operations through data analysis, problem-solving, and process enhancements
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and inefficiencies
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with SPQRC goals

Layout, Ergonomics & System Design

  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to plant layouts, workstation design, and material flow
  • Ensure compliance with ergonomic standards and best practices
  • Support system simulations and process buffering strategies

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Collect, analyze, and report data related to labor performance, material usage, and equipment efficiency
  • Provide insights to support management decision-making and operational improvements
  • Utilize tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and other reporting systems

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams
  • Participate in daily meetings and collaborate on plant-wide initiatives
  • Work with suppliers and stakeholders to support process improvements

Compliance & Operational Support

  • Support compliance with Global Manufacturing System (GMS), QS9000, and ISO14001 standards
  • Contribute to plant goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Support overtime, shift flexibility, and plant operational needs as required


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)
  • 3–5+ years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience with:
  • Time studies and standardized work development
  • Manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Line balancing and process optimization
  • Experience supporting production teams in a plant environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Automotive or EV manufacturing experience
  • Experience working within high-volume assembly environments
  • Background in ergonomics and workstation design
  • Experience with system simulations or advanced process modeling


Work Environment

  • 100% onsite in a manufacturing plant setting
  • High interaction with cross-functional teams and daily collaboration
  • Structured schedule with potential for overtime as needed


Schedule

  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Overtime and occasional weekend/holiday work may be required


Additional Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screening required prior to start
