Position Overview

Mercury Systems is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to lead critical logistics operations supporting mission-critical aerospace and defense programs. This role is responsible for overseeing receiving, warehousing, and shipping functions while ensuring accurate inventory control and traceability across the manufacturing workflow.

The Logistics Supervisor will coordinate the movement of materials throughout the facility, ensuring compliance with internal processes, government contracting requirements, and quality standards. This position plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring materials are available to support production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Operations

  • Lead and coordinate daily receiving, warehousing, and shipping operations.
  • Plan, schedule, and report on product and material movement in support of manufacturing workflows.
  • Oversee receiving functions for purchased parts and incoming supplies.
  • Manage the shipping of finished and semi-finished goods.
  • Monitor storage and handling of raw materials and finished products.

Inventory Management

  • Ensure transaction accuracy and traceability across all logistics activities.
  • Validate previous transactions and resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies.
  • Issue materials to production based on bill of material (BOM) and work order routing.
  • Track and report scrap materials, identifying opportunities to reduce waste.
  • Ensure proper write-offs of damaged or obsolete inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory values through reconciliation and monitoring processes.
  • Perform and oversee cycle counts and year-end inventory activities.

Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with electrostatic discharge (ESD) policies and procedures for material handling.
  • Support government contracting requirements related to inventory control, shipping, and receiving.
  • Process MRP transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies and anomalies.
  • Develop and maintain inventory management review processes and performance metrics.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce material and consumable costs.
  • Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in logistics or warehouse operations.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with inventory management and logistics software systems.
  • Familiarity with government contracting requirements related to inventory, shipping, and receiving.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with domestic and international shipping operations.
  • Knowledge of trade compliance and export regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
