Manufacturing Operations Coordinator– Chantilly, VA | $28–29/hr
Hours: 9/80 schedule. 6am start time

Position Summary
The Manufacturing Operations Coordinator supports daily factory operations by assisting leadership in the manufacturing, assembly, and testing of electro-mechanical products. This role works closely with operations teams to execute production plans, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with established quality standards, including ISO9001/AS9100 requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations Support
- Assist in executing daily production build plans
- Support factory operations activities including assembly, test, inspection, packaging, and inventory tasks
- Participate in daily tiered accountability meetings
- Identify and help resolve production bottlenecks and constraints
Inventory & Materials Management
- Conduct audits and cycle counts of work-in-progress (WIP)
- Manage production consumables and Kanban inventory
- Support job kitting and inventory stocking activities
- Enter purchase requisitions for supplies, services, and operational needs
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and support “Return to Green” initiatives
- Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions (RCCA)
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company Quality Management System (QMS) standards (ISO9001/AS9100)
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance on preventative maintenance and calibration activities
- Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and records in accordance with company policies
Documentation & Reporting
- Develop, maintain, and update process documentation, forms, and reports
- Track and maintain operational paperwork and production records
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or factory operations
- Experience working within ISO9001 and/or AS9100 environments
- Familiarity with MES, ERP, or MRP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively across a diverse workforce
- Basic understanding or willingness to learn Lean Manufacturing principles
- Must meet U.S. person or clearance-related requirements
