Compensation:
Generally seeking $30.00/hr to $35.00/hr (depending on experience). Overtime is paid at 1.5x over 40 hours.

Job Description:
HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major automotive manufacturer to hire a 2nd shift Warehouse Supervisor for our Service and Parts Operations facility in Belleville, MI. This role is responsible for overseeing warehouse team members to achieve business objectives for safety, quality, productivity, responsiveness, and more within assigned departments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Counsel and support hourly employees with their needs and concerns
- Encourage positive performance behaviors and address areas of concern
- Utilize structured problem-solving processes to address opportunities within the department and engage employees for improvement ideas
- Apply Workplace Organization (WPO) methods to enhance work layouts and efficiency
- Update daily timekeeping systems to ensure accurate payroll processing
- Document problem-solving activities using reporting formats and guidelines
- Lead daily meetings to communicate business performance and maintain two-way communication with employees
- Conduct and document weekly safety observation tours
- Plan daily workloads in advance
- Support colleagues to optimize shift and overall team performance
- Adhere to all contractual and organizational requirements
- Enforce shop rules and workplace standards
- Perform regular audits of standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Participate in ongoing personal and professional development through individual development plans
- Communicate pending activities and department updates as required to higher-level supervisors or committees
Skills, Education, Experience Required:
- High school diploma OR GED required at a minimum; at least 1–2 years of technical or business school training preferred
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Training in a skilled trades area or equivalent technical experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
- Proficiency in basic math
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of the technology used in assigned areas
- Familiarity with scheduling and management systems
- High-level analytical abilities for complex problem-solving
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively motivate and engage team members
- Knowledge of quality control procedures
Skills, Education, Experience Preferred:
- 1 to 2 years of technical or business school training preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
Work Environment / Other Info:
- This will be a 2nd (afternoon) shift role, typical hours are 2:00pm to 10:00pm. Monday to Friday but there may be occasional weekends as needed.
- This role will have regular overtime – average of 10 hours per week. Any OT will be paid at 1.5x over 40 hours.
