Pay: $35.60 per hour

What You'll Bring

Experience

  • 3–5 years of automotive technical experience
  • Background in dealership or independent automotive service
  • Hands-on expertise in diagnostics and repairs

Education & Certifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Dealership product training
  • At least two ASE Certifications (one must be powertrain-related)

General Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Creative and strategic thinking
  • Excellent communication (interpersonal, presentation, written)
  • Proficient with computers and engineering software/tools
  • Ability to integrate people, processes, and systems
  • Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record

Specialized Skills

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to work independently
  • Recent experience in automotive drivetrain diagnostics
  • Extensive knowledge of Audi/VW vehicles


What You’ll Do

Primary Responsibilities (90%):

  • Perform thorough inspections and repairs of test vehicles
  • Complete software and hardware updates (with guidance from Senior Technicians)
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled vehicle maintenance
  • Provide full support for test vehicles, including visiting test groups
  • Install, remove, and maintain data-logging equipment
  • Manage workshop tools, tire, and part inventory
  • Receive and document parts from Germany and other locations
  • Collect and document fluid samples
  • Maintain and update engineering tools (iDEX, Diagra, ODIS, CP Tool)
  • Prepare vehicles for scrapping or rotation to external drivers

Additional Responsibilities (10%):

  • Ensure safety and cleanliness of the work area and common spaces
  • Support department operations beyond vehicle testing as needed
  • Assist test drivers and address questions before and after shifts
