Location: McConnellsburg, PA

Compensation: $80,000 annually

Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizen

Position Overview

The Network Engineer will support service delivery and execute infrastructure projects within a large-scale, global network environment. This role is responsible for identifying gaps, addressing operational needs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance network reliability and performance. Serving as a subject matter expert (SME) in one or more networking technologies, the Network Engineer will work independently to resolve complex technical issues while supporting both day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives with minimal supervision.

This position requires a hands-on engineer who is comfortable working across the entire organization and is interested in ongoing training and long-term career growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and expertise for enterprise networking technologies, including:
  • Palo Alto: Firewalls, Panorama, GlobalProtect VPN, URL Filtering, IoT Security, Prisma, and related platforms
  • Cisco: Switching and routing (including SD-WAN), Cisco ISE (802.1X and TACACS), DNA Center, wireless solutions, ACI, and related technologies
  • Deliver medium to high-complexity maintenance, Run-the-Business (RTB) support, and incident/service request resolution within a global infrastructure environment
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions for both RTB operations and project-based initiatives
  • Act as a technical project resource for application and infrastructure efforts, representing network capabilities and best practices
  • Gather business and technical requirements, provide solution recommendations, and implement designs aligned with project objectives
  • Create and maintain advanced technical documentation and knowledge articles; mentor and support team members as a recognized SME
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Network (Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, SolarWinds), Server Administration, and other IT disciplines

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in Information Technology or a related field
  • Hands-on experience supporting DNS, DHCP, and Cisco networking technologies (routing, switching, wireless, ISE, DNA Center)
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% as needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptability to changing requirements and evolving technical environments
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications such as Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE), Palo Alto, Cloud certifications, ITIL Foundation, or CompTIA Network+
  • Experience supporting IT environments within a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Experience managing enterprise-scale networks
  • Proficiency creating network diagrams and technical documentation using Microsoft Visio
