Conveyor Systems Engineer – Manufacturing Projects
Long-term contract with full benefits available
$60-65/hr depending on holiday and vacation time
Hours: 7a-3pm core hours; hybrid schedule with 50% travel to plans and suppliers

Position Overview
The Conveyor Systems Engineer supports the design, implementation, and execution of conveyor system projects across multiple manufacturing sites. This role is responsible for coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to deliver conveyor solutions that meet production requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
The position requires strong technical expertise in conveyor technologies, project management experience, and the ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and execute conveyor system projects across multiple manufacturing facilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Participate in project planning, coordination, and execution, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, and performance goals
- Provide technical expertise in conveyor system design and implementation, including chain, skid, and skillet systems
- Lead and participate in project meetings, supplier discussions, and status updates
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to conveyor systems and equipment performance
- Support installation, commissioning, and optimization of conveyor systems
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including engineering, operations, and suppliers
- Adapt to varying project demands, including on-site support during critical phases
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field; or equivalent related work experience
- 7+ years of experience in conveyor systems, manufacturing engineering, or related field
- Strong knowledge of conveyor technologies, including:
- Chain systems, Skid systems, Skillet systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with conveyor system suppliers or integrators
- Background in automotive or large-scale manufacturing environments
- Experience supporting body shop or general assembly operations
Work Environment & Schedule
- Hybrid schedule with a mix of on-site and remote work
- Standard weekday schedule with flexibility to support project needs
- May require off-shift or weekend support during key project phases
- High interaction with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
Travel Requirements
- Up to 50% travel to manufacturing sites across the United States
- Travel intensity may vary based on project phase
