Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (EE III or higher) to lead board bring-up activities for new carrier card integrations. This role focuses on hardware validation, debugging, and ensuring system readiness for firmware integration. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience, deep technical expertise, and a methodical approach to problem-solving in complex electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead initial board bring-up and validation for new carrier card designs
- Perform power integrity analysis and verify voltage rails, sequencing, and signal paths
- Debug hardware issues at the component level using systematic methodologies
- Utilize lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and logic analyzers
- Interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and design documentation to validate functionality
- Identify and resolve hardware issues efficiently using structured problem-solving techniques
- Ensure accurate measurements while minimizing noise and loading effects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including test engineers and firmware developers
- Document findings, test results, and validation processes clearly and thoroughly
- Support hardware readiness for firmware integration and system-level testing
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in power integrity analysis and hardware debugging
- Proficiency with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers)
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and technical documentation
- Strong understanding of measurement techniques and signal integrity considerations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
Preferred Skills
- Experience with power supply design, clock distribution, and thermal management
- Knowledge of signal integrity and component-level troubleshooting
- Familiarity with component substitution trade-offs and hardware optimization
- Experience as an original board designer
Required Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience
- Experience with board bring-up, validation, and hardware troubleshooting
- Experience working in cross-functional engineering environments
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required
