Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Burton, MI

Schedule: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Pay: $35/hour


Position Overview

As a Warehouse Supervisor at HRU, you will play a pivotal role in leading our warehouse team to achieve excellence in safety, quality, productivity, and responsiveness. You will foster a collaborative environment while ensuring standards, procedures, and productivity targets are met. Key Responsibilities

-     Team Leadership & Development

-     Supervise and support a team of warehouse employees, providing regular coaching and feedback.

-     Recognize and reward positive performance, and address areas for improvement directly and constructively.

-     Counsel employees regarding workplace needs and concerns, ensuring a positive, inclusive atmosphere.

-     Operational Excellence

-     Apply problem-solving methodologies to operational challenges, engaging team members for collaborative solutions.

-     Enhance warehouse layout and workflow using organization techniques to maximize efficiency.

-     Plan daily workloads and resources to ensure smooth, efficient operations during each shift.

-     Lead daily shift meetings to communicate business performance and foster open dialogue with team members.

-     Compliance & Safety

-     Conduct and document regular safety observation tours, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

-     Enforce company policies, procedures, and shop rules, including contractual and regulatory requirements.

-     Perform daily audits of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate records.

-     Administrative Duties

-     Maintain accurate timekeeping and attendance records using designated payroll systems.

-     Document problem-solving activities and operational issues clearly, using standardized reporting formats.

-     Keep management informed of key activities, challenges, and process improvements within assigned areas.

-     Continuous Improvement

-     Advance your own professional development utilizing an Individual Development Plan (IDP).

-     Lead or participate in initiatives to improve quality control and process efficiency.

Required Competencies & Qualifications

-     Deep knowledge of warehouse or manufacturing processes and best practices.

-     Proficiency with basic mathematics and familiarity with relevant technologies and management systems.

-     Analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex operational problems.

-     Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively convey information across team levels.

-     Excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to motivate, develop, and lead a team.

-     Experience with quality control and continuous improvement practices.

-     High level of organizational and planning abilities.

Education & Experience

-     High school diploma (required). Technical or business school training preferred.

-     Training in a skilled trade or equivalent technical experience preferred.

-     Minimum of 10 years of relevant warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience, with supervisory exposure.
