Job Title: CAD Designer

Location: Andover, MA

Pay Rate: $40–$50/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking an Electronics Library Specialist to join a highly skilled engineering team focused on delivering complex, rugged, and secure electronic packaging solutions. In this role, you will develop, manage, and maintain a global electronics library using the Cadence toolset, ensuring engineers across multiple regions have access to accurate, reliable, and well-vetted schematic symbols and PCB footprints. This position plays a critical part in supporting efficient hardware design and maintaining consistency across engineering workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop schematic symbols and PCB footprints using Cadence Allegro and System Capture.
  • Interpret device datasheets and application notes to create and verify footprints.
  • Build schematic symbols to support electronic design development.
  • Provide electrical engineers with high-quality, validated library components.
  • Maintain and support revision control processes for the electronics library.
  • Serve as a primary resource for resolving component library inquiries and issues.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong mathematics aptitude.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret electronic part datasheets and mechanical drawings.
  • Proven experience creating schematic symbols and PCB footprints.
  • Experience with library management tools and processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced engineering environment and collaborate across multiple time zones.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Cadence Allegro and System Capture.
  • Familiarity with Cadence Pulse.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Experience working with sophisticated revision control systems.
  • Ability to support global engineering teams across various time zones.
