Position: Calibration Technician

📍 Location: Dearborn, MI

💵 Pay: $21 – $30/hour (Based on Experience)

⏰ Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM


About the Role:

We're seeking a detail-oriented Calibration Technician to join our high-performing team in Dearborn. In this hands-on role, you’ll ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of critical lab and test equipment used in automotive and engineering environments. What You’ll Do:

Calibration, Maintenance & PM Services

  • Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on a wide range of lab systems:
  • Air Flow, Engine, Vibration, Fuel & Spray, and Temperature/Pressure Monitoring Systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair test system wiring and interfaces
  • Calibrate bench and in-situ pressure transducers, flow systems, and portable fuel measurement equipment
  • Support audio/video systems and portable test room data acquisition systems (MDACS, ioTech, NI/CDAQ)
  • Conduct system integrity checks (e.g., SOC, As Found, Post-Service calibrations)
  • Generate accurate calibration reports and maintain service documentation
  • Use industry-standard tools like Druck, Pace, Fluke, and reference weights for calibrations
  • Utilize Ford Automotive Procedures (FAP03-015) and internal databases (ELMS, TAMS) effectively
  • Assist with inventory management, including stocking, labeling, and submitting purchase requests


What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in instrumentation and calibration services
  • High School Diploma or GED (Associate Degree in Electronics, BSEET, or equivalent preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of engines, battery systems, and vehicle control systems
  • Proficiency with tools and equipment including:
  • Volt/Ohm meters, Oscilloscopes, hand tools, and lab diagnostic equipment
  • Comfort using computer-based tools and reporting systems
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
  • Self-motivated and adaptable with a willingness to learn new systems
  • Flexibility to work overtime or off-shifts as needed


Bonus Skills:

  • Familiarity with Ariba procurement systems and Ford Credit Card process
  • Experience conducting calibrations in line with ISO standards
  • Ability to multitask and support multiple labs in a fast-paced environment
