Position Overview

The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring continuous production flow by efficiently moving materials for production use. This role requires providing accurate inventory transactions for materials entering storage or being transferred to the production line. The work is performed in a moderate to fast-paced environment and is repetitive in nature, demanding adherence to established quality levels and timely completion of assigned tasks within designated workspaces. The Material Handler reports directly to the department manager or designated group/line leader for assignments and assistance. The typical work schedule is Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Move and handle production materials to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing processes.
• Accurately record inventory transactions for materials in storage and on the production line.
• Adhere to quality and safety standards while completing tasks within required timeframes.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, managers, and supervisors regarding work instructions and reporting requirements.
• Use both hands for manipulating, handling, and inspecting required items.
• Lift, move, pull, or transfer products weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand work documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle) and cycle counting.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of related work processes.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or stockroom environment, technical schooling in related areas, or an equivalent combination of experience, technical training, and education.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Forklift certification.
