Job Title: Wire EDM Operator (Training Available)

Location: Lansing, MI

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (Direct Hire considered based on experience)

Pay Range: $22.00 – $28.00/hr

Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Occasional Saturdays)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Wire EDM Operator to join our team. This is a trainable position for the right candidate, but prior experience working with Wire EDM machines is required. The ideal candidate will have experience with Edgecam software, though Mastercam experience is also acceptable.

Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, run, and maintain Wire EDM machines using Edgecam (training available if needed)
• Perform part inspections and quality checks to meet company and customer standards
• Operate small detail machines as required
• Perform routine Wire EDM department maintenance
• Commit to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
• Maintain awareness of department workflow to enhance efficiency
• Work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Qualifications:

• Experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
• Experience with Edgecam software preferred; Mastercam experience acceptable
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to learn quickly and follow standard operating procedures

Education & Experience:

• Two years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
