Mechanical Engineer – Engine Testing

Location: Stoughton, WI

Pay Rate: $30–$35/hour

Schedule: 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Interview Process: All interviews conducted onsite

Position Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support engine testing, data quality management, and technical collaboration with test requestors. This hands-on role involves performing a variety of testing and analysis tasks to support validation and verification efforts within the engineering function.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute engine testing processes, including validation and verification testing
• Conduct Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA)
• Apply 7-Step Problem Solving methodology to technical issues
• Collect, manage, and ensure data quality for all tests performed
• Perform data analysis on test results and prepare detailed technical reports
• Interface and communicate with test requestors regarding test parameters and results
• Utilize MATLAB and process capability tools to support testing efforts

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2–4 years of experience in engine testing or related field
• Experience with validation and verification testing
• Proficiency in FMEA and 7-Step Problem Solving
• Experience collecting and analyzing technical data
• Proficiency with MATLAB
• Understanding of process capability concepts
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Hands-on approach with the ability to work directly with stakeholders

Preferred/Bonus Skills

• Coding or programming experience
