Production Supervisor

Location: Bowling Green, KY

Pay: $38-40/hour

Hours: Candidate will be required to rotate shifts every 3 months with their team. They will work the 1st and 2nd shift for the respective 3 months.

1st Shift: 5:35 am touchpoint 6am-2:30pm.

2nd Shift: 2:35pm touchpoint 3pm-11:30pm.

Position Summary:

The Production Supervisor in General Assembly is responsible for overseeing a team of represented hourly employees in the day-to-day operations of vehicle manufacturing. The successful candidate will lead with a focus on safety, people, quality, responsiveness, and environmental responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure quality vehicles are manufactured within the department and that all non-conformance issues are addressed.
• Accurately complete daily employee time entries for payroll processing.
• Monitor, measure, and improve daily throughput efficiencies.
• Manage costs through scrap reduction initiatives.
• Lead and participate in problem-solving within the department.
• Handle people management, resolve employee issues, and ensure rapid resolution of grievances.
• Foster a hands-on team development culture, not just task delegation.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and process improvement skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Manufacturing or Business.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience (automotive manufacturing experience preferred).
• Proven experience in hands-on team leadership and development.
• Record of applying critical thinking and driving process improvements.
• Mechanically inclined: Ability to visually assess mechanical components and determine compatible parts (e.g., bolt sizes, threaded holes, fenders), though the candidate will not be required to physically handle tools or parts.
