Senior ServiceNow Developer
Location: Hagerstown, MD (Hybrid)

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Lead Developer to join our Digital Technology team as a technical leader responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing the ServiceNow platform. In this role, you will collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional IT teams to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative ServiceNow solutions aligned with enterprise strategies. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across the organization.
This position follows a hybrid work model (three days onsite, two days remote) and is based in Hagerstown, MD.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Architecture & Development
- Lead the design, development, configuration, and implementation of advanced ServiceNow solutions.
- Architect scalable and secure ServiceNow workflows, integrations, and platform enhancements.
- Manage and execute semi-annual platform upgrades, ensuring seamless adoption of new features.

Apply expert knowledge across modules such as ITAM, ITOM, CMDB, and related applications.
Operational Excellence
- Provide daily operational support for the ServiceNow platform, including incident management, root cause analysis, and long-term platform stability.
- Ensure optimal platform performance, data integrity, and adherence to security standards.
- Maintain documentation related to architectural decisions, configurations, code, integrations, and data flows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with ITAM, ITOM, infrastructure, and security teams to enhance automation, discovery, and asset management capabilities.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions aligned with enterprise objectives.
- Present design impacts, innovations, and thought leadership to executive and cross-functional audiences.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Lead special projects focused on process optimization, automation, and maximizing ServiceNow ROI.

Serve as a strategic advisor on system integration best practices using REST, SOAP, JSON, and API-based frameworks.

Drive adoption of emerging technologies, including AI/ML-driven automation and self-service capabilities.
- Champion a culture of agility, accountability, and customer-centric innovation.
Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of ServiceNow development or implementation experience.
- Strong understanding of ITIL, COBIT, financial planning, budgeting, and enterprise IT operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in communication, leadership, stakeholder alignment, problem solving, and analytical thinking.
- Experience contributing to SDLC or Agile project methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

7+ years managing enterprise IT platforms, including ServiceNow and integration tools (e.g., Boomi).
- Proven experience leading custom ServiceNow implementations, workflows, and integrations.
- Knowledge of ITIL, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with AI/ML-powered automation, digital workflows, and self-service solutions.
