Intelligent Automation (IA) Support Developer

Salary: $91K–$120K + bonus

Security Clearance: Must be eligible for U.S. Security Clearance (government contractor role)

Overview

We are expanding our Intelligent Automation (IA) team and seeking a support-oriented developer to maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance UiPath and Microsoft Power Platform automations. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical contact for production issues across UiPath RPA, IXP Agent Builder, Power Automate flows, Power Apps, Dataverse integrations, and related platforms. You will lead incident response, root-cause analysis, reliability improvements, and ongoing enhancements that increase stability, performance, and business value. This role works closely with business and IT partners to uphold service levels, governance standards, and compliance requirements.

Hybrid schedule (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) out of our headquarters in east central Wisconsin,

Responsibilities

Production Support & Reliability

  • Monitor, triage, and resolve production issues within SLAs for UiPath and Power Platform automations.
  • Lead full incident response: assess impact, communicate with stakeholders, develop workarounds, implement permanent fixes, and conduct postmortems.
  • Analyze logs and telemetry to reduce false positives and prevent recurring incidents.
  • Maintain knowledge articles, SOPs, and support runbooks.
  • Implement automated health checks, alerts, and reliability improvements.

Platform Administration & Governance

  • Manage UiPath Orchestrator scheduling, assets, queues, and runtime capacity.
  • Administer Power Platform environments, including security roles, DLP policies, and solution layering.
  • Support environment provisioning, license management, and updates.
  • Enforce governance standards for connectors, secrets management, and access control.

Change, Release & ALM

  • Use Git/Azure DevOps for source control, CI/CD, packaging, and releases.
  • Follow ITIL-aligned change management processes, including deployment and backout plans.
  • Maintain consistent versioning, tagging, and configuration documentation.

Enhancements & Continuous Improvement

  • Deliver small enhancements and bug fixes based on priority.
  • Improve workflows for standardization, reuse, and performance.
  • Contribute to shared component libraries (UiPath custom activities, Power Automate templates, Power Fx patterns).

Compliance, Security & Audit

  • Ensure automations adhere to SOC controls, audit requirements, credential vaulting, and data protection standards.
  • Support internal audit, cybersecurity, and IT reviews and evidence requests.

Stakeholder Experience

  • Communicate clearly during incidents and planned maintenance.
  • Support user acceptance testing for releases and hotfixes.
  • Train citizen developers and promote safe, governed development practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in automation/RPA or application support.
  • Hands-on expertise with UiPath, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse.
  • Proficiency with UiPath Orchestrator and Power Platform Admin Center.
  • Experience with ITIL processes and tools such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.
  • Strong debugging skills across APIs (REST/SOAP), data sources (SQL/Dataverse), and authentication (AAD, OAuth).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Preferred Certifications

  • UiPath: Developer Associate/Professional, Orchestrator, or Solution Architect.
  • Microsoft: PL-400 (Developer) or PL-600 (Solution Architect).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in manufacturing or experience with ERP, MES, PLM, or shop-floor systems.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform CoE Starter Kit and governance best practices.
  • Experience with performance optimization, cost management, secure credential handling, and RBAC.
  • Basic development skills (C#/VB.NET, Power Fx, JSON, OData, SQL).
  • Experience supporting a centralized Intelligent Automation Center of Excellence.
