Material Handler – Aerospace (2 Openings)
Location: Chantilly, VA
Contract: 6 months (potential extension)
Schedule: 9/80 schedule | Start times: 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM
Pay: $24–$25/hour (optional benefits available during the contract)

We are looking for two reliable and detail-oriented Material Handlers to support warehouse operations in a leading aerospace environment. This position plays a key role in receiving, storing, and distributing materials while ensuring all activities meet AS9100 quality standards. What You’ll Do
Material Handling & Inventory
- Receive incoming materials, verify documentation, and check for quality and accuracy.
- Label, store, and distribute materials according to company and AS9100 guidelines.
- Perform cycle counts and inventory audits; identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain proper storage methods to protect materials and ensure safety.
Documentation & Tracking
- Record all received and issued materials (quantities, serial numbers, lot numbers, etc.).
- Prepare and update packing lists, bills of lading, inventory reports, and related documents.
- Ensure all documentation meets AS9100 requirements and is completed accurately and on time.
Quality & AS9100 Compliance
- Apply AS9100 standards in all material handling activities.
- Support internal audits by providing accurate documents and inventory details.
- Report non-conformances and help implement corrective actions.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
Team Support & Communication
- Work closely with procurement, production, and quality teams to meet material needs.
- Communicate inventory levels, shortages, and delivery updates.
- Assist with material requests to keep production running smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certifications a plus)
- AS9100 certification
- Experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse/distribution role—preferably aerospace or manufacturing
- Working knowledge of AS9100 quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Comfortable using inventory management systems and basic computer tools
- Ability to lift/move materials and operate handling equipment safely
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Familiarity with Lean or continuous improvement practices (preferred)
